New vaccine plant coming to North Carolina

North Carolina has bagged big game as it tries to lure new jobs to the state.

Pharmaceutical giant Merck has picked the Research Triangle for a new 300 million-dollar vaccine plant. The company says it will build the plant in Durham County if state and local incentives come through as promised.

The plant is expected to produce up to 300 high-level jobs. It will produce a combination vaccine for measles, mumps,rubella and a second medication for chickenpox.
