Suicide Attack against 82nd Airborne in Iraq kills 1; injures 14

One American soldier is dead, and 14 injured after an attack from a suicide bomber in Ramadi, about 60 miles West of Baghdad in Iraq.

The strike was against the headquarters of the 82nd Airborne Division, which is based at Fort Bragg.

This appears to be one of the most devastating attacks on troops from the Fayetteville Facility since the beginning of the war in Iraq.

The 14 injured soldiers were taken to a combat hospital.  There is no word on their condition.

A military spokesman says a bomb was concealed in a truck delivering furniture to the 82nd airborne's offices.

The driver of the truck along with two passengers were all killed in the blast.
