Groundbreaking ceremony for new jail in Bolivia

Years of planning and hard work are now one step closer to reality. Brunswick County officials broke ground for the new jail in Bolivia Monday. The new facility will have close to 200 beds.

Cameras will also be installed that will record inmate activity 24 hours a day. The new jail will help overcome a huge overcrowding problem.

Right now, the current jail is close to double the capacity. The new facility is also being built to allow room for expansion.
