Jacksonville house fire kills three

Three children are dead and their father is being treated for severe burns, all of them victims of a house fire in Jacksonville.
The three children killed were all girls... Ages two, three and ten.
Investigators say an electrical short circuit in the attic is likely the cause of the deadly fire.
It started around 6:30 this morning just North of Jacksonville, in a community called Dale Court.
The home was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on the scene.
The children's father, identified as R.C. Hurst, was taken to the Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill and is in critical condition.
Hurst reportedly sustained second and third degree burns over about sixty percent of his body.
The children's mother, Elizabeth Hurst, their twelve-year-old brother and an infant were taken to Onlsow Memorial Hopsital for smoke inhalation.
Investigators believe this fire started in the attic and they say it collapsed on the house before the girls could get out.
