BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The grandfather of the 9-day-old baby mauled to death last month in Bladen County was arrested Tuesday and charged with involuntary manslaughter in the case, according to the sheriff's office.

Nelson Ernest Camerino, 49, is the second person to face charges in the case.  The baby's mother, Chelsea Brigman, was arrested late last week after a special Grand Jury convened to consider the case.

Addyson Paige Camerino died in August after being attacked by more than one of the five dogs who lived in her home in Clarkton.  A call to 911 indicated the baby girl was found face down in the kitchen of the home.  The dogs lived in the same home as Addyson, her mother, grandparents, uncles and a tenant who lived upstairs.

Nelson Camerino was taken into custody around 10:30am Tuesday and remains in jail on a $150,000 secured bond.

District Attorney Jon David sent out a news release late Wednesday afternoon stating that Brigman and Camerino are the only ones charged in this incident after the grand jury session.
