PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Captain Mark Sloan with the Pender County Sheriff's Office was expected in court Monday for prostitution charges. He never appeared, so his case has been continued to October 17.

Sloan was arrested in June after being stopped for a traffic signal violation on Physicians Drive in Wilmington. According to police, there was a male passenger in the car with Sloan when he was pulled over.

Sloan was charged with soliciting prostitution and crimes against nature.
