Deputies seize 155 marijuana plants from home

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Deputies with the Pender County and New Hanover County Sheriff's Offices have seized 155 marijuana plants from a home being used to grow pot.

According to Captain Jamie Ezzell, Thomas Kennard Moore Jr. had converted several rooms of a residence on Wyndham Way in the Scotts Hill community into "marijuana grow rooms."

Investigators seized the marijuana and arrested Moore Monday.

Moore was charged with:

  • trafficking marijuana
  • felony possession of marijuana
  • maintaining a dwelling for storage and selling of controlled substances

Moore is being held in the Pender County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 secured bond.
