SC man arrested for armed robbery in Supply

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) — A Little River, SC man was arrested recently for an armed robbery in the Supply area last week.

The suspect entered an occupied residence located on Junction Way in Supply carrying a handgun last Thursday, according to Sgt. April Stanley with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office. He then reportedly led the resident into the master bedroom and demanded the money from her purse. The suspect fled in a white BMW.

Detectives arrested John Vincent Seward, 24, on Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m. at Bill's Quick Stop, located at 2355 Kirby Road. Seward was charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of felony breaking and entering, and one count of felony larceny after a breaking and entering.

He was transported to the Brunswick County Detention Facility where he remains incarcerated and has a $100,000 secured bond. Additional arrests are currently pending.
