HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8:00 PM
FOR ALL OF SOUTHEASTERN NORTH CAROLINA
Heat and humidity will once again make conditions dangerously hot throughout the afternoon on Wednesday.
Actually temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 90s across thee area with some triple digit heat expected in inland locations. This, plus the very high dew points will make conditions feel considerably warmer. Look for "feels like" temperatures to top out in the 105-109 degree range with some locations seeing the heat index to push past 110 degrees.
Shower chances increase today, but look even more promising during the day on Thursday as a cold front slowly pushes southward across the area. While the rain chances remain largely hit or miss, the temperatures will cool heading into the weekend.
