BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) - What started off as horse play between friends ended up in a charge of "simple assault."
According to the Bladen County's Sheriff's Office, former sheriff deputy Michael Britt was involved in a fight with a friend. The sheriff's office says it happened in January after the two had been drinking together.
Last week Britt was found guilty of simple assault. He retired from the sheriff's office in March.
