Awards/Recognitions:
On the weekends, I love to: Be outside, explore new places and try new things.
My favorite food is: Cheese, and pretty much any type of food in which cheese can be incorporated.
Hobbies: Listen to live music, cooking, swimming, hiking, camping and being with friends and family.
Most Memorable Story: So many stories, and the people I've interviewed, have become a part of who I am. One of the hardest things I've done as a reporter was to be the one to tell a woman why the man she loved didn't come home the night before. The day before, he had driven more than an hour away, to a post office, and held hostages, prompting a police standoff. Shocked to hear the news, she told me that before I explained the situation, she had no idea why the FBI showed up at her door that morning. I do love opportunities to report on, and take part in, adventures around the region. In a two week span, I white water rafted with a local sheriff's department as they GPS mapped a river for their 911 system, I repelled off a bridge with an EMS rescue squad in training, and floated in a hot air balloon as teams prepared for a massive balloon rally.
