Heads up anglers! Here's your weekly mobile exclusive fishing report on the WECT News app.
Looks like with the start of June, there are no shortage of fish to catch in the rivers and ocean.
Jamie at County Line Bait and Tackle tells us the bream catch is still hot right now in both the Northeast Cape Fear River and Black River. Worms and crickets are always popular to use as bait. Plus some big catfish are being pulled in by using cut eels.
A few Mahi and Tuna are being caught in the gulf stream, while closer to the shore, trolling for Spanish mackerel and bluefish is still going on.
And inshore, the flounder catch is starting to really pick up with warmer water temperatures in the inlets, and around docks and piers in the ICW, along with some nice sized Red Drum.
