NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - New Hanover County residents who have electronics they wish to get rid of can now do so on a weekly basis.

Beginning July 1, all electronics will be banned in New Hanover County's landfill.  Officials have started a new permanent program to help dispose of any unwanted items before that deadline.

Each Wednesday, county residents can recycle up to four items at no charge.  The landfill is located at 5210 Highway 421 North.  Drop off hours are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
