Mayor, council members ask Katherine Moore to step down; Moore says she won't

For the first time since filing a federal lawsuit against the city of Wilmington,  Katherine Moore, addressed her fellow council members in a council agenda briefing Monday morning.  Moore insisted she will not step down.  She said, "I will have my day in court whether you like it or not."  She also acused the others of being hypocrites and not standing up for her.  "You all knew what was being done to me and did nothing to stop it."  The mayor and other members have asked Moore to resign from her position on council.  Moore has agreed she won't take part in any council discussions involving her lawsuit.

The suit stems from Moore's drunk driving arrest last November.  Moore blew a 0.0 on a breathalyzer, and charges were later dropped.  Moore says she was unfairly targeted.
