WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The UNCW Board of Trustees whittled a list of chancellor candidates down to three finalists Tuesday.
The three finalists will now go to UNC President Thomas Ross for the next step in the approval process.
Each of the finalists will meet with President Ross and other leaders of the UNC system. The final candidate selected will have to get approval from the UNC Board of Governors. We should know the new Chancellor for UNCW sometime in May.
The successful candidate will replace outgoing Chancellor Rosemary DePaolo, who announced that she will retire at the end of June this year. DePaolo has been chancellor since 2003.
