Hey mobile viewers, wet weather is headed our way in the next couple of hours. A relief to firefighters still fighting that blaze in Onslow County, but a nuisance to folks looking to enjoy the outdoors this weekend.
The showers and storms might be a bit heavier than expected as the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma is now monitoring the possibility of some severe weather in southeastern North Carolina.
The biggest threat with these storms overnight Saturday into Sunday will be isolated damaging winds and hail.
Since the likelihood of any severe weather is small - there is no need to freak out - but I definitely want y'all to take a look at the radar before heading out. Although with continued rain through Monday, perhaps the day is better spent inside watching WECT.
