It's a Goldilocks kind of day. Not to hot, not to cold, it's just right. Already at 75 degrees at Noon in Wilmington, one might think we are headed into the mid 80s again, but with north winds in association with a dry cold front the upper 70s should be about as warm as it gets.
That was welcome news to the nearly 2000 runners who ran the 7th Annual Steve Haydu Lo Tide Run this morning in Carolina Beach. All of our area beaches, due to the mid 50s water temperatures, will remain in the upper 60s to low 70s at best.
Tomorrow the runners at the Quintiles Wrightsville Beach Marathon will enjoy the same sunny conditions, but much cooler weather with temperatures staring in the 40s and topping out in the mid 60s.
Enjoy the weather!
