Run in Brunswick Co. benefits man who died of brain cancer

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A race will take place in Brunswick County to benefit a man who died in 2008 from a rare form of brain cancer.

The Run for Ray Underhill offers participants three course: 3 miles, 6 miles and half marathon trails in the Brunswick Nature Park in Winnabow.

Underhill was the roommate and fellow Powell Peralta teammate of skating legend Tony Hawk.  Last year Hawk ran the 3 mile race in support of his friend and finished in just under 30 minutes.

The race kicks off Saturday morning at 9:00 on Highway 133, south of Leland in the Brunswick Nature Park.
