WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - There have been several sick children during the holiday break from school.
Dr. Mary Forehand with Carolina Pediatrics in Wilmington has seen one case of the flu in the last week.
Doctors have also seen children with strep throat and viral colds with a prolonged cough.
RSV, a respiratory illness in babies, continues to be a problem.
"It is difficult to tell who is going to handle it well and who is going to be very sick," said Dr. Forehand."
There has been some croup and viral sore throats and lots of ear infections in little kids with colds and upper respiratory infections.
