Garlic Chicken

12 chicken leg quarters

2 tbls. butter

1 clove garlic, minced

1 medium onion, sliced

2 cloves garlic

Bay leaves, broken in half (1 each)

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. ground pepper

1 cup white wine

1/2 cup sour cream

1) In a large frying pan, place butter and garlic and heat to medium temperature for about 2 minutes or until garlic is light brown.

2) Place onion slices on bottom of pan under chicken; add whole garlic cloves and bay leaves. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper, pour wine over chicken. Cover, reduce temperature to low and simmer for about 40 minutes or until fork can be inserted in chicken with ease.

3) remove chicken to serving plates and keep warm. Add sour cream to the pan drippings and cook, stirring about 2 minutes until mixture is warm but not boiling. Smoosh the garlic cloves to break up in the sauce, Spoon sauce over chicken.
