Lumberton police identify murder victim

Police in Lumberton have identified a murder victim, a woman who was killed in an area frequented by prostitutes.

Police say 36-year-old Lisa Harden was found dead Monday in some woods behind a warehouse near Town Common Street and Chippewa Street.

Police say she was beaten but do not know how. A Lumberton detective tells News 6 Harden was arrested once on a prostitution charge. About four months ago, another woman was murdered nearby. She was spotted on the night of her death in the same area where Harden's body was found. Police say it is too early to conclude the cases are connected.
