A Southport man is under arrest, accused of growing marijuana at a house in Brunswick County Sheriff's officers arrested Bobby Reece Rigsbee at his home on Sweet Bay Drive around 1:00 Monday morning.
Neighbors had complained about suspicious activity at the house. Detectives say they seized four pounds of hydroponic marijuana, three grams of hash, seven marijuana plants, $900 in cash, a Ruger 44 caliber handgun and numerous items of drug paraphenalia after searching the home.
Rigsbee is charged with posession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, manufacturing marijuana and maintaining a place to keep a controlled substance. All are considered felonies.
Rigsbee was also charged with several misdemeanors including possession of drug paraphenalia and possession of a controlled substance. Rigsbee is being held in the Brunswick County jail on a $20,000 secured bond.
