They build decks, they paint, and they even do re-surfacing, and all the labor is free. It is a part of "Group Workcamps," a non-denominational work week for teens.
More than 300 students from across the country are in Wilmington for the week working at more than 50 different locations. The students are helping one local resident rebuild a porch.
For about six hours each day the students will work with their leaders on a particular project. Their leaders each have skills in the specified area to make sure the project is successful. The sites were selected by the local organization, Cape Fear Community Development Corporation.
