Heat death

Two children left in a hot car remain in critical condition today at a Fayetteville hospital. One-year-old Jaquon Pratt and four-month-old Nataliya Pratt are being treated at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Their two-year-old brother died after doctors say his body failed. Police say they believe the children had been left too long in a car outside the house. No charges have been filed.

Police say the children had been in the care of their mother, Nataliya Pratt. Midday temperatures in Fayetteville were in the low 90s on Wednesday.
