Booked Hotels for the Fourth

Just about every hotel in the Wilmington area is booked for the holiday weekend. From the Holiday Inn Sunspree at Wrightsville Beach to the Hilton in downtown Wilmington, everything is full and many more hotels are reaching capacity. Last-minute travelers are left scrambling, looking for a place to stay on the coast. Some hotels are even turning away people who have already been turned away from the Carolina Beach Marriott that isn't open yet. The Marriott is getting last minute inspections done before the grand opening next week. Hotel owners say if you are flexible you can find a place to stay.
