WILMINGTON, NC (WECT)- Early voting begins Thursday across the state for the 2010 general election.
By now, the ads are all over the television, the signs are up, and the candidates have spoken.
Many people may decided on who they want to see in office, and if you are one of them, you can cast your vote starting at 9 a.m.
The purpose of early voting is to give people more opportunities to vote.
Voters now have 17 days to get to the polls instead of just one.
Early voting also helps alleviate the long lines on election day, and it provides another opportunity to register to vote.
The polls are open Monday through Friday and they'll also be open on Saturday, October 30th.
In New Hanover there are three locations where you can start casting votes. To see the early voting locations in your county click here.
