WILMINGTON, NC (WECT)- One of the biggest reasons to love the month of October is Halloween, and all the creepy things that come with it. It's the time of year where creatures of the night come out and we can take another look at all things haunted.
And one of the perfect settings for a haunted house is the Battleship North Carolina.
With it's many hallways and staircases, the battleship gives actors the perfect chance to scare you to death.
There's fog and fear at every twist and turn, and even the most experienced thrill seeker will jump at the sight of some of the creatures featured on board.
Putting the ghost ship together did not happen overnight. Danielle Wallace, the Programs Director at the Battleship has been there since the beginning.
"We have been working on ghost ship since July, it takes a long time because you have to think about the lighting, the sound, safety, making the ship safe," said Wallace. "The ship is made of steel so you don't want anybody to get hurt."
Friday, October 8th is opening night. Tickets are 10 dollars at the door. The show will go on every weekend until Halloween.
