WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - After a rough week in the tropical Atlantic last week, the tropics have turned decidedly quieter this week. This is a surprising turn since September 10 usually marks the most active period in the tropics most years.
The bad news is we still have half of hurricane season to go. The Atlantic's hurricane season does not end until November 30. Hurricane Earl should be a lesson that we always need to be prepared.
