Annual Arts Sensation performance to benefit Full Belly Project

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Dancers and musicians are preparing for the 9th Annual Arts Sensation Performance Thursday night.

All proceeds from the benefit event will go towards the Fully Belly Project, whose mission is to help fight hunger and poverty around the world.

"It's already a lot of fun and knowing what you're doing is for a global cause is just the icing on the cake and really gives you chills at the end of the night," said director Hannah Funderburke.

This year's dance performance highlights performers from Forward Motion Dance Company, the Company "T" Tappers, Belly Dance Troupe, Glory Academy of Fine Arts; and local choreographers include Linda Larson, Vatra Gitana and Tracey Varga.

Musicians include the Tallis Chamber Orchestra and Rickey Tobey and dem Chickenhead Blues.

The performance is Thursday at 8:00 p.m. on Thalian Hall's Main Stage.  Tickets are $10.00.
