Tonight on WECT News at 5, we'll have the story of a man who went surfing off Figure Eight Island and came a little too close for comfort with a shark. In fact, it bit him. It was probably a reflex, because the shark was kicked by the surfer (accidentally).

On WECT News at 6, WECT's Max Winitz investigates why the New Hanover County chapter of Habitat for Humanity is considering more building in Brunswick County than the Brunswick County chapter. It has the mayor of one small town awfully upset.
30 minutes. That's all the time Cesar Laurean spent in court today, on the first day of his murder trial. He's accused of killing a pregnant colleague in the Marines. The trial has been moved out of the area due to high publicity.
And guess what? Warm and humid. So says Meteorologist Robb Ellis -- back from vacation. (At least he could have brought some cooler weather back with him.)
