BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Drivers in Elizabethtown beware of upcoming traffic delays.
The Department of Transportation is working on a new storm drainage system on Broad Street from Pine Street to Peanut Road.
"For some years the town has experienced some problems with storm drainage, standing water particularly, and periods of heavy rain events," said Town Manager Eddie Madden.
Crews will be closing lanes and re-routing traffic along Broad Street for the next three to four months.
