Wilmington Police are investigating a pair of early morning armed robberies at gas stations that may be connected. Police say around 12:30 Saturday morning, a man walked into the Citgo on South College Road and flashed a silver revolver. He then demanded money. The clerk emptied the cash register and the man took the money and ran. The gunman is described as a black male about 5 foot 8 and 150 pounds. 15 minutes later, someone robbed the Scotchman store on Wrightsville Avenue. Police say a black male with a similar description entered the store. He was also carrying a silver handgun. The gunman ordered the clerk to get on the floor and a customer to get out of his chair. After ordering the victims around, the man grabbed a wad of cash from the register and fled on foot. If you have any information about either robbery, please contact Wilmington Police.
