Nikki's career in journalism began in high school when she asked to work as a sports reporter for WRJB-WFWL radio station in Camden, TN.
After graduation, she headed to the University of Memphis to earn her degree in Broadcast Journalism. Dabbling in everything she could, Nikki worked as a reporter for The Daily Helmsman, and later as an intern for The Commercial Appeal Newspaper. She also spent time working at her campus television station, Insight News.
The summer before college graduation, she began her broadcast career at WMC-TV in Memphis, TN where she adored her time as an intern and volunteer. Nikki discovered her love for producing after her first story made it to air.
After graduation (and a slew of odd-jobs), she trekked 16 hours to Wilmington and joined WECT in the summer of 2010 where she now serves as a producer.
Nikki enjoys spending time with friends and family who come to visit, running with Spunky (her Rat Terrier), and talking about Tennessee -- more often than not, the city of Memphis.
