Five Spice Salmon

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1/4 cup sherry

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1/8 tsp. five spice powder**

1 tsp. apple cider vinegar

4 6 oz. salmon filets

1) In a large saute pan melt the butter over medium heat.

2) In a bowl combine the sherry, brown sugar, tamari, five spice and apple cider vinegar

3) Pour the sherry ingredients over the filets. Cover tightly, lower heat to low, cook for 8 minutes.

** You can make your own 5 spice powder by mixing equal amounts of these ingredients:

Star Anise (available in oriental markets), Anise, All Spice, Cinnamon, Nutmeg**
