Lauren started at WECT in May 2007 as a production assistant and worked her way up to Producer.
Lauren comes to Wilmington from Damascus, Maryland, where she was born and raised. She graduated from UNCW, double-majoring in Film Studies and Communication Studies. Her interest in broadcasting began as a senior in high school, where she helped produce and anchor the morning announcements for her school. During the college years, she spent 6 months in New Zealand taking Media Studies classes and interning for One Tree Hill.
When not working, Lauren enjoys running, reading a good book, traveling, playing with her dog, and above all, being with her friends. She is also currently learning to cook.
