I'm proud to be a Kentucky Wildcat but I usually claim Cincinnati, OH as my hometown-- not many people have heard of the little old northern Kentucky city, Fort Mitchell (but it's fantastic)!
I moved to Wilmington in August of 2010 for my very first reporting job-- the career I've wanted since I was 12!
A month into the job, I remember being so excited to get to cover the record breaking rainfall floods in Pender County, even though I experienced my first fire ant attack while shooting some of the video footage.
For nearly 2 years I was the Pender County reporter, but now I'm thrilled to be in my new role as the morning reporter/ fill-in anchor for Carolina in the Morning. Live reporting from various locations on a daily basis is definitely an exciting, on-your-toes kind of position that never gets boring.
I'm so thankful to have a wonderful family, and a wonderful mentor from back home who helped me get to Wilmington -- doing what I've always wanted to do.
