Traffic is back to normal on US Highway 1/64 in Cary after an accident in which two people were killed.
Authorities identified the victims as Christopher Lee Solomon and George Wayne Taylor the Second, who was a passenger.
Police say Solomon lost control of the 1991 Jeep Comanche pickup in the southbound lanes, overturned and came to rest across the travel lanes.
An off-duty Raleigh police officer was at the scene immediately after the crash and Cary police got the call at 2:24 a.m.
The southbound lanes were closed until approximately 6:00 a.m., leading to some delays for early morning commuters.
