Students transform classroom into marketplace

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Students at Cape Fear Academy transformed their classrooms into a marketplace Thursday.  They are learning about the value of money in a project known as Biz World.

During the event, the students bought and sold homemade bracelets to their classmates.

Earlier in the week they wrote resumes and business plans, borrowed money, and even made commercials to sell their products -- all of which are important things to know in order to be successful in the "real world."

Many parents were part of this project as well. They played the roles of bankers and lent the kids money to make the bracelets.
