Here's a good place to start off getting the latest in gas price information from around the country--gaspricewatch.com. It gives you the highest and lowest gas and heating oil prices in the country, as well as the national average based on reports from its spotters. This site only takes updates from its registered spotters. I did a search for a 20 mile radius from the WECT zip code, which gave me a list of 107 gas stations, but none of them had a price listed.
Next is northcarolinagasprices.com, which lists the lowest and highest prices in the state (it comes from the national site gasbuddy.com). This also has a search section where you can choose your area of interest and the station brand you're looking for. This too, relies on registered members to update the prices.
For this week in geek, I'm Mark Avery.
