Blogs--short for "web logs"-- have become a popular way of publishing thoughts, commentary, or links quickly to the web, sort of like an online diary for everyone to see. The range of topics are as diverse as the writers who post them. Starting a blog is easy enough at sites like blogger.com and bloggingnetwork.com--blogger is free, but bloggingnetwork charges a monthly fee.
Sites like weblogs.com and blogwise.com are directories to different blogs. Weblogs lists recently changed blogs registered with that site. Blogwise separates blogs by county of origin and keywords, and has a link to the 50 most popular blogs.
