Construction on Carolina Beach's Hilton Garden Inn delayed

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) - There's a sign in Carolina Beach that says a new Hilton Garden Inn will be opening this spring, but the groundbreaking has yet to happen.
Apparently, there have been some issues with financing, but the developer, Russ Maynard, says they will break ground either late spring or early summer.
Maynard says the 191-room hotel will feature a conference center and restaurant.
