It's going to be a windy Wednesday. Winds are expected to be around 20 to 30 mph this afternoon, with gusts as high as 45 mph.Low pressure that brought rain on Tuesday will intensify off the Atlantic, while high pressure will build to the west. The Carolinas will be stuck right in the middle.With saturated ground from multiple heavy rain events, power outages could become a problem. The strong winds may be able to easily uproot trees in the soggy ground.A Wind Advisory is in effect for Bladen, Brunswick, Duplin, New Hanover, Columbus, Onslow, Robeson and Pender Counties from 8 AM to 8 PM Wednesday.A High Wind Warning is in effect for Sampson and Cumberland Counties from 6 AM to 9 PM Wednesday.The highest winds will likely peak around the late afternoon and early evening.Along the coast, the winds could be especially problematic.
