Woman robbed of wallet in Wilmington alley

Reported by Scott Saxton email

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A woman was surrounded by several young men and robbed as she walked through an alley in Wilmington Monday afternoon.

One of the men yelled "give it up" as he stuck an object in her side and threatened to shoot her if she turned around.  It happened in the 800 block of Gerdes Alley just before 1 p.m.

The woman gave up her wallet and was allowed to leave.  She took off and called 911 from her friend's home.

The victim got a decent description of her attacker.  He's described as a black male, around 6'1", skinny and around eighteen years old.  He had something wrong with his left eye, whether it was a lazy or crossed eye.  He was wearing a black hoodie, dark jeans and a blue bandana, which covered part of his face.
