Pender Co. commissioner to run for state representative

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Pender County commissioner F.D. Rivenbark is hoping to change his title to state representative.

Rivenbark, a Democrat, said he's filing to run against Republican Carolyn Justice who is the current state representative for District 16.

Rivenbark has been a county commissioner for 16 years and says he wants to help bring jobs to the area.

Justice said she is  planing  to run for re-election.
