Carolina Beach woman appointed to state commission

RALEIGH, NC (WECT) - A retired colonel from Carolina Beach will take a spot on the North Carolina Veterans Affairs Commission.

Governor Bev Perdue appointed Colonel Jeri I. Graham Tuesday to the position.  Graham is currently the president of the Army Nurse Corps Association, president of the Southeastern Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America and a member of the American Association of University Women.

The thirteen commission members give advice to the governor on veterans issues in the state.  Graham will serve a four year term.
