John Edwards back on tabloid front pages

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -Former North Carolina Senator, and Vice Presidential Nominee, John Edwards is once again on the front page of the National Enquirer.

The Tabloid Magazine, which broke the last year that Edwards has fathered a child with former campaign worker Rielle Hunte, is now reporting that Edwards "shocked eyewitnesses by recently spending several consecutive nights trawling bars in search of women."

The Enquirer says Edwards "fled to his vacation home on Figure Eight Island" to hang out at bars in Wilmington. The story centers around an interview with a bartender from the Kornerstone Bistro. A divorced mother-of-two said Edwards hit on her "for four consecutive nights" at the restaurant where she works.

This is not the only revelation to come out this week about Edwards. In a book released this week that chronicles the 2008 presidential campaign authors John Heilemann and Mark Halperin report the extent Edwards went to cover up his affair with Hunte and quote many of his former aides who referrer to the two time presidential candidate as "a delusional egomaniac."

The National Enquirer hit stands today. The book, Game Change, came out on Monday.
