Detective to explain sex offender registry to police and residents

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) - A detective with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office will talk to the Carolina Beach Police Advisory Committee Monday night about the state's sex offender registry.

The detective will discuss the program and how it impacts area residents.

Detective Sandra Macon is expected to address how the sheriff's office maintains the registry among other topics.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at Carolina Beach Town Hall Monday night at 7:00.
