COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A Tabor City teenager plead guilty Thursday to fleeing and eluding police in August.

Allen Strickland,17, was arrested after police say he led them on a car chase in Columbus County.

Tabor City teen arrested...again

Captain Folley with the Tabor City Police department said Strickland did a U-turn in the middle of the road, and then fish tailed his corvette several times during the chase, which reached speeds of 75 mph.   The teen apparently crashed his car and fled the scene.

Strickland went to the Tabor City Police Department later that night and reported that his vehicle had been stolen.  He was arrested while he was at the police station.

The teenager still has pending charges for allegedly burning down his own home, which was paid for by State Senator R.C. Soles.
