WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The water appears to be flowing for more customers of the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority.

In the fall, the company said it would start cutting off water for customers who are delinquent in their bills by more than three months or who owe a large sum of money.

According to CFPUA workers, water has been shut off about 1,200 times since the September to October deadline.  They have more than 65,000 customers.

These instances could only be for a short time and could be for the same customer.
