NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A man from New Hanover County faces 168 months in prison after admitting to trying to distribute heroin.
Michael Eugene Goodwin, 33, pleaded guilty last August to possession with the intent to distribute heroin. He was arrested in April 2009, and officers found more heroin in his vehicle.
Goodwin was sentenced in federal court this week. He will also be on parole for three years after his release.
The U.S. Attorney's office says Goodwin had six prior felony convictions for narcotics offenses.
